A Conservative and Community Leader Ready to Take her Conservative Values to Washington

(Washington, D.C) – Maggie’s List, a federal political action committee dedicated to electing conservative women to office, is proud to announce the endorsement of Susan Narvaiz for Texas’ 21st Congressional District. Susan is a proven leader who will take her conservative values to Washington.

Susan understands the need for a strong national security. As a Congresswoman Susan will fight to ensure that our armed forces have the necessary equipment and resources to complete their jobs safely and to be able to return home as soon as possible.

“As the Texas state chair, I am beyond thrilled that Maggie’s List has endorsed Susan. Susan knows what representation the citizens of Congressional District 21 need in Washington, D.C. As a woman of integrity, fueled by her convictions, Susan will fight to ensure that conservative ideas are upheld in D.C. I know she will be an impact player and make a great addition to the US House,” states Maggie’s List Texas Chair, Lisa Fortson.

“I am humbled to join the ranks of conservative women leaders across the nation working to uphold our American values of limited government, strong national security, and fiscal conservatism. Through my experience as Mayor of one of America’s fastest growing cities, I understand and have demonstrated the importance of a balanced budget, keeping taxes low, and getting government out of the way so everyday Americans can pursue their passions and dreams,” states Susan Narvaiz, candidate endorsed by Maggie’s List.

“I believe deeply in the American Dream – which allowed me to rise from being a teenage mother and single parent, to become a small business owner, a mayor, and community servant. We must send leaders who are willing to stand firmly to defend the country that has given us so much. We must act now to preserve the values that make our nation great so our children and grandchildren may cherish,” continues Narvaiz.

Susan is the former mayor of San Marcos, Texas where she was re-elected to her third term as Mayor on Nov. 4, 2008. Before serving as Mayor, she was elected to Place 3 on the City Council in 2002. Susan, a former appointee of Texas Governor Rick Perry, also served as the Chair for Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG). Susan continues to serve her community and understands the needs of those she will serve in Washington.
